Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Marsh Gibbon, right on the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire border, The Plough Inn is a lovingly restored 17th-century Grade II listed pub and restaurant. Just a quick ten-minute trip from Bicester Village, our newly refurbished space is now ready to welcome everyone!
At The Plough, we’re all about giving you a warm welcome and a place to unwind with top-notch food, a fantastic selection of drinks, and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. As a Free House, we take pride in carefully choosing our offerings to bring you the very best. You’ll find a selection of locally crafted real ales, premium lagers, ciders, wines, and spirits, along with a great range of low and no-alcohol options. We’re committed to quality and value, so you can always count on a delicious meal made with care.
We’re proud to cater to a variety of dietary needs, and you’ll find clear labels for gluten-free (GF), vegetarian (V), and vegan (VGN) options on our menu. While our brand-new kitchen follows the strictest hygiene standards and keeps ingredients separate, please let us know if you have specific dietary needs. We’ll do our very best to accommodate you, but just bear in mind that we can’t guarantee the complete absence of allergens.

At The Plough, we believe that a good meal deserves an equally good wine to go with it. That’s why we carefully select each wine on our list, paying close attention to what pairs best with our dishes. We regularly update our selection to keep things interesting, but we always make an effort to keep customer favourites available too.
Every wine on our menu has been personally tasted by our team, both with and without food, to ensure it meets our standards. Simply put, if we don’t enjoy drinking it ourselves, it doesn’t make the list!
For those who prefer a glass to a full bottle, many of our wines are available in 125ml, 175ml, and 250ml servings. And for the true wine enthusiasts, we’ve got a limited selection of special and vintage wines kept in our temperature-controlled store. Ask our staff about our “black book” of rare finds next time you’re in—once they’re gone, they’re gone!
