Thursday to Saturday from 12pm to 2:30pm and 6pm to 9pm

Sunday Menu
Our Sundays are all about tradition, featuring classic roasts like beef, pork, lamb, and a delicious vegetarian roast, served with all the trimmings. You’ll also find a small selection of other seasonal favourites, which we finalise on the morning of service. Please note, the menu you see here is a sample, as our Sunday dishes may change based on what’s fresh and in season. We encourage you to check the menu on the day for the latest options!

Each dish is freshly made, so there may be a slight wait during busy times. But rest assured, it’s worth it!
We proudly source our meat from local suppliers at Boarstall Meats and make every effort to use locally grown ingredients to bring out the best in each dish.

Our kitchen is brand new, and we follow strict hygiene practices, keeping ingredients separate whenever possible. However, we can’t completely guarantee that our dishes will be free from traces of allergens, particularly if they’re present in other dishes. Christmas Day Menu
Celebrate Christmas in style with us at The Plough! We’re now taking bookings for our Christmas Day menu, and we’ve got a delightful feast planned to make your holiday special. Join us from 12pm to 3pm for a festive meal you won’t forget.
Price: £95 per adult | £45 per child
Start your meal with a warm welcome drink and a selection of canapés, followed by:
- Starters:
- Charcuterie board with cold meats, pickles, and cheeses, served with crusty bread
- Smoked salmon & king prawns with Nordic rye bread and horseradish cream cheese
- Parsnip & apple soup, topped with shaved chestnuts and truffle oil (V, VGN)
- Duck liver pâté with apricot and cranberry chutney, and a beetroot salad
- Mains:
- Traditional roast turkey with seasonal vegetables, chestnut stuffing, roast potatoes, pigs-in-blankets, and bread sauce
- Herb-crusted Oxfordshire beef fillet, served pink with all the Christmas trimmings
- Crusted cod fillet on a bed of kale with Jersey royals, and lemon & parsley sauce
- Wild mushroom, shallot & Madeira tart, with truffled vegetables and chestnut sprouts (V, VGN)
- Desserts:
- Traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce (V, GF, VGN)
- Profiteroles with whipped cream and rich chocolate sauce (V)
- Dark chocolate & raspberry pot, finished with Chantilly cream
- Selection of cheeses with crackers
To wrap up your meal, we’ll serve a selection of teas and coffees, along with a mince pie to enjoy at the end of the feast.
To confirm your booking, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit, and all pre-orders must be submitted by 1st December. All our meat is sourced locally from Boarstall Meats, ensuring the finest quality for your Christmas table.
